With Jimmy Kimmel staging his late night show in Brooklyn this week, New York’s own Vampire Weekend retreated from their hibernation to play a new song entitled “Unbelievers”

It’s true, indie’s most charming band that helped start a whole “Brooklyn hipster movement” haven’t strayed too far from the path with this new track. The hooks are familiar  yet are reminiscent of earlier tracks, as opposed to some of the lackluster findings on the band’s sophomore album “Contra”

Dont’ worry about the band’s garb either. They haven’t entered their “emo/My Chemical Romance” phase, the spooky demeanor was just for the Halloween festivities. I’m sure they were tucked away in their sweater vests and polos straight after the taping.

Fans of the indie outfit and can start to hold their breath with vocalist Ezra Koening recently saying, “We’ve been working like maniacs for a long time. The time is not so far away, we promise.”
