A security firm is currently readying its military trainees for anything, including the Zombie Apocalypse. HALO Corp, based in San Diego, is converting a forty- four acre site into a zombie crisis training ground. HALO Corp was founded by former Special Operations personnel, and offers services to the U.S. government and Homeland Security. Due to their high-end level of service, involved parties are expecting quite the show.

Brad Barker, the president of HALO, told Military Times that “they are going to see a lot of stuff go down.” The Zombie Apocalypse exercise will feature actors playing the undead, and was inspired to be a part of the counter terrorism summit after a previous campaign by the Center for Disease Control.

The Zombie exercises are meant to facilitate realistic combat training. Participants will also attend lectures and exercises on cyber warfare and combat in the Middle East, in order to offer a more thorough counter terror education experience. Barker, told Military Times that the “new battlefield is cyberspace, for sure,” and that the direction of the summit is towards the future of combat.
