Never let anyone tell you hoarding is a bad trait to possess. Fans of The Who in Rhode Island are certainly thankful they held onto scrapped concert tickets after the band cancelled a gig in 1979.

Since then, fans have been waiting, and waiting for word on if the show would be rescheduled. Decades later, fourteen fans were finally given the opportunity to redeem their tickets from the failed 1979 show, and were given new tickets to the bands stop at The Dunkin’ Donuts Center next February.

So, word to the wise, never let a cancelled concert defeat your dreams of seeing your favorite band live. As it turns out, if you wait long enough, you just might be rewarded.
