If you’ve ever been to an outdoor summer music festival, you’re definitely aware of how overwhelming the entire experience can be.
Miike Snow explores this idea in their latest music video for “Pretender” which was filmed at this years Hard Summer festival in Los Angeles.
The video sees Noel (the same large-nosed character who appears in the groups previous three videos) wandering around the festival. He is harassed by fellow concert attendees, dances wildly, and ultimately has a brush with stardom showcasing his dance moves on stage with the band.
Besides the character’s zany attitude, I’m sure all of us festivalgoers can find a way to relate to the feeling of sensory overload in this clip. Let’s just hope your festival experience didn’t involve skintight leather pants.
