Tegan and Sara Release New Track from Upcoming Album

Indie’s most darling duo, Tegan and Sara, have given fans a further look into their upcoming album today by releasing another new track entitled “I’m Not Your Hero.”

The twin’s seventh album “Heartthrob” is set to be released in early 2013. So far, we’ve heard the first single, “Closer” and now this new track gives us a better understanding of what the duo have been referring to as their “pop” album.

Don’t think the girls are ditching their guitars far choreography though; they don’t mean pop in the traditional sense. “We mean pop in the very eighties sense: hooks, keyboards, lots of vocals.” Said Tegan in an interview with MTV Hive.

If this track is any indication, the duo is definitely on course for a stellar pop album filled with gargantuan guitar hooks and keyboard melodies. Check it out for yourself.
