Stephen Colbert Announces Hobbit-Themed Week

Being a devoted fan of the series, to coincide with the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Stephen Colbert will present four nights of Hobbit-themed programming.

Beginning on December 3rd and ending on the 6th, the sereis of shows will feature appearances from the stars of the film including Ian McKellan (Dec. 3rd), Martin Freeman (Dec. 4th), Andy Serkis (Dec. 6th) and the director of the film himself, Peter Jackson on December 5th.

Speaking of the specially themed programming, Colbert said in a statement “Elen sila lumenn‘ omentielvo… I mean that sincerely.” Translation: “A star shines upon the hour of our meeting.”
