This is no laughing matter; tennis star Novak Djokovic has just bought up the entire 2013 supply of donkey’s milk cheese at £800 per kilo.
If you were planning on indulging, think again as the cheese may be finding a new home somewhere in Serbia:
Wimbledon winner and world No 1 Novak, 25, wants the donkey’s milk cheese to supply a new chain of restaurants in his Serbian homeland. The delicacy, known as pule, is made in Zasavica, Serbia, and is described as similar to Spanish manchego. Donkey milk is said to be very healthy for humans as it has anti-allergen properties and is low fat. - The Sun
Mike Tyson owns a tiger, Marquise Daniels owns a necklace with his head made entirely out of diamonds, Alex Rodriguez owns a statue of himself as a Centaur, and Gilbert Arenas is the proud owner of a set of sharks. Star athletes have the means and free time to entertain themselves in any way they see fit, yet out of all of these insane purchases Novak’s seems to be one of the most ridiculous.
