Former Star Trek notable George Takei is taking his social media prowess to a whole new level with the announcement of an official Tumblr account.

Even more awesome, this account was created in the guise of charity for Superstorm Sandy Relief efforts; Takei will use the platform to spread awareness for raising funds for victims, an issue very near to his heart.
