Just last week we reported here that Wes Anderson’s next feature film would feature a star-studded cast of epic proportions.
Today, we can confirm that Johnny Depp has signed on to star in the film, which now has a title of “The Grand Budapest Hotel.” Following the success of “Moonrise Kingdom” it seemed as though A-list stars were foaming at the mouth to get a spot in Anderson’s new film, but Johnny Depp has won to lead the film.
While details of the plot remain shrouded in secrecy, it has been confirmed that the film will be shot on location in Budapest, making it the first time Anderson has worked in the city.
The film is also set to star a “typically insane” cast alongside Depp featuring: Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrian Brody, and Jude Law.
