No doubt we all still remember Clint Eastwood’s now infamous “speech” from the Republican National Convention just a short while ago.
Now, the famed actor has finally spoken out about the performance, and it turns out he’s not as crazy as we all thought.
Speaking to Extra TV, Eastwood said, “If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get.”
When asked if Mitt Romney was that “somebody,” Eastwood initially said “yeah,” before adding, “actually, he had some of his people ask.”
In a separate interview on today’s episode of Ellen, Eastwood brought more light to the speech given at the RNC saying, “The Democrats who were watching thought I was going senile, and the Republicans knew I was.”
It’s good to know he’s still with us.
