M. Night Shyamalan Developing TV Series Based on ‘Moby Dick’

It was announced this week that popular film director M. Night Shyamalan will be venturing into the world of television to create his own series based on the famed Herman Melville novel “Moby Dick.”

The TV series just landed a pilot on NBC and will be titled “Lost Horizon.” The series is described as “modern day version of Moby dick dealing with obsession and the unknown, themes that are often reflected in Shyamalan’s movies.” The show will take place in an East Coast fishing village, but so far, that is the only information that has been revealed.

Knowing Shyamaln’s previous work, it’s guaranteed we can expect a lot of twists and turns with the series. Although it is based on the novel, I’m sure nothing will be as expected.
